Fort Worth Wedding Photography | Katie and Michael Katie and Michael had their wedding at the Bell Tower Chapel in Fort Worth, near Dallas, Texas. The stain glass windows always provide for pretty photography. The wedding was right at the end of that year. Which means Christmas! Look for some of the holiday decor. Kayla started by getting her make-up and hair done at the Jose Luis Salon in Austin. Ceremony Shoes, followed by converse allstar reception shoes. Devin and Kayla chose to see each other before the wedding. I [more] Katie Bridals | Frisco & Fort Worth Wedding Photographer Katie had her bridals taken at the Botanical Gardens Japanese Gardens in Fort Worth, TX near Dallas. Katie lives in Frisco. The gardens always provide for beautiful photography. We battled rain most of the time. We had a few sprinkles here and there, but it was clear enough to fire away many photos. It could have been worse for sure. We used one [more] Destination Wedding Photography | Playa Del Carmen | Sandos I got the opportunity to take destination wedding photographs and Jeff and Brittany in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico at the Sandos Eco Resort in Rivera Maya near Cancun. That's because I'm just now blogging about this wedding. For the record, I deliver my clients photos very quickly and am very professional. I'm just not good at blogging, but I'm getting better. [more] Wedding Cinemagraph | DTX Dallas Wedding Photography Cinemagraphy is getting attention right now from the photo nerd world, so I wanted to try my hand at it. It's basically photography and video combined into one. This of course was not shot with the intention of becoming a cinemagraph, but I was able to make one still. Dallas [more] Playa Del Carmen Wedding Photography | Destination shoot I photographed Katie and Michael's wedding this past weekend and then followed on their honeymoon destination: Playa Del Carmen, Riviera Maya, Mexico for some post-wedding photography. They stayed at the Iberostar Grand Hotel. I had a blast and I hope this experience will lead to more destination wedding [more] Linden and Jason Shane Wedding in Fort Worth, TX Jason and Linden had their wedding at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens, Japanese Gardens. Always a gorgeous location. We started taking photography at the Hotel, hair and makeup. Heres Jason. Jason works in video production for the Dallas Stars. It's always a compliment to be hired by someone else in the visual arts industry. The churches column make for nice photography, you'll see that I use them quite a bit. We’re excited to expand our wedding [more] Kate & Owen | Colleyville Wedding Photography Piazza in the Village in Colleyville, TX is a fantastic venue. One of the best in the Dallas area. Kate and Owen had their wedding here earlier this year and it was beautiful. We started at the Terrace Retreat Salon in the Hilton at Southlake Town Square. Kate and her bridesmaids got their hair and makeup done here. I know Kate's sister, Sarah, from [more] Katie and Michael Engagements | Coppell Wedding Photographer Katie and Michael met me at the Grapevine park just outside of Dallas in Coppell, TX for their engagement photography. This was right before thanksgiving so the leaves were turning colors and the park was just beautiful. On this particular photo I used a backlight strobe with an orange gel to add a lens/ sun flare effect. [more] Highland Park Wedding Photography | Dallas Arboretum We had their photo shoot at the Arboretum in Dallas, TX. This place is always beautiful and not too far from Highland Park. Shooting here is always kind of tricky because their are several Highland Park and Dallas wedding photographers such as myself. You sometimes have to wait for a location, then work some magic to keep people out of the background, haha. Here's the photos [more] Downtown Dallas Wedding Photography | Casey and Andrew Casey and Andrew had a beautiful wedding in downtown dallas. The girls began by getting ready at the famous W Hotel in uptown Dallas, TX. I actually photographed this wedding almost a year ago but never blogged it (blogging is a new years resolution for 2012). These were the shots I kept in my portfolio, and I wanted to share. The girls had a lot of fun. Well, here's the photos from their wedding. They had a very pretty wedding. Christine got her hair and make done at Daireds Salon in Fairview, TX. (near Allen / Plano / Mckinney). She's moved up to working with larger aircrafts in the gulf, but returned to Dallas for her wedding. She had her wedding at the Trinity River Audubon Center in Dallas, TX. [more] Matt and Diveth Wedding Photography in Denton, TX Matt and Diveth had their wedding at TWU's Little Chapel in the Woods, followed by their reception a the Wildwood Inn in Denton, Texas. She did a [more] McKinney Wedding Photography | Robert and Stephanie I got to shoot Robert and Stephanie's wedding with Tre a few weekends ago for a wedding in Plano and McKinney, TX. The guys got ready at the Grand Hotel in downtown McKinney, TX. I covered them, while Tre covered the girls. The ceremony was at the First United Methodist on Spring Creek in Plano, TX. The guys had matching plaid socks. I thought [more] Nichole and Doug Wedding in Austin Texas I know Nichole from mutual friends in our home town of Plano. She went to Plano Senior high, I went to Plano east. Needless to say, I was excited to hear from her about photographing her wedding. They were actually already married, but had their wedding after the fact. I've had a few weddings like that. This was one essentially, although the dress went home unharmed. I call it a "post-wedding" or "day-after" shoot. Still in the wedding gown and the groom can wear whatever he wants. I highly recommend them, it allows for a relaxed shoot that's not the pace of the wedding day and it's a lot of fun. I was in town for another wedding so we went ahead and had the engagement shoot the next morning. We headed down to congress Ave. in downtown Austin. We followed the shoot up at Auditorium Shores park where there's a pretty view of the city space / [more] Heidi & Robert Wedding Photography in Plano, Texas Robert and Heidi got married at First Presbyterian Plano, followed by a reception at Reflections on Spring Creek, also in Plano, TX. What was neat was that I have shot a wedding before at both these venues, so I was nice and familiar with them. Sunflowers were a common theme at the wedding. And they were beautiful. Does it look like the shape of a [more] Copley Engagement Shoot in Denton, TX Going through my blog today, I realized that I never posted Kayle and Brandon's engagement pictures. So here they are. We took these in Denton, Texas. Took some photos near downtown and the Denton Square, then made our way to a park. Here's a shot with the Denton County Courthouse in the background. Ok, I totally stole this shot composition from Tre. from [more] Ryan and Felisha's Wedding Photos in Plano Ryan and Felisha Payne are a wonderful couple. They actually got married almost a year before their wedding. They were ready, so why wait? Since they were already married, the wedding was very chill and more like a party than anything else, and yet still absolutely beautiful. It was a a lot of fun. See below Here is their kid, Riley. Ryan was getting him dressed. [more] Meredith and Jimmy Destination Engagement Meredith is a good friend of mine. We played on the golf team together in high school in Plano, TX. Then and in my early college years she was my go-to model when learning, trying new techniques or just keeping it fresh. We've had a lot of fun together in those years, and it's really neat to now be her go-to photographer for her wedding. A very high-end, classy and modern wedding venue looking over Austin's Lake Travis. I know Kayle through my brother and was honored to be her wedding photographer. [more] Kevan & Alex Engagement photography in downtown Dallas Kevan is an architect, so naturally we shot their engagement portraits in downtown / uptown Dallas, and made sure to work in a little architecture. As you know it's tradition for the husband not to see his bride in her dress before the wedding, so as a precautionary measure I always wait to share any of the photos in social media until after the wedding. Kori looked spectacular. [more] Garren and Carlye Engagement | Fort Worth Wedding Photographer Garren and Carlye got there engagements taken at the Botanical Gardens in Fort Worth. I know Garren from the aviation community. He is a helicopter pilot. Schools and businesses shut down, students flock to the parks for snowball fights, and photographers go out taking pictures of poor freezing brides. Meet Monette. She's the wife of a teacher who works with Sarah. I've already done a trash the dress shoot with Sarah, and to be honest, I'm not sure she [more] Lori and Kyle Engagement Shoot | Grapevine Springs Park, Coppell, TX Lori & Kyle had their engagement photos at Grapevine Springs Park in Coppell, TX. We had beautiful [more] Casey's wedding photography bridals in Frisco, TX Casey is one of the most spectacular brides I've worked with. We had our bridal shoot at the NYLO hotel in Frisco, and it was just perfect. Notice the colors of the flowers and the accent colors of the locations. Just spot on. The colors also match my DTX Photography site, but that's just lucky. The hotel is very high end, beautiful and just a joy to work with, as was [more] Alyson Wedding Bridals Portraits in Wylie, TX Here are some shots from Alyson's bridal shoot. We went out to a historic house in Wylie, TX. The weather was beautiful and of course, so was the bride to be. On the property, there's this old western looking building. We took a few shots there, until I was attacked by fire ants. You know, you can't post bridals until the wedding day, so they miss the blog or get much posted later than the wedding date because they don't flow with my normal "social networking photo flow". haha.
